We currently have a vacancy for a Catering Assistant to join the kitchen team for September: 

Catering Assistant

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our school.

Term time + 5 Training days minimum of 15 hours per week

Scale point 1b point point 1-2 depending on experience

Actual Salary range ( £6000.84 - £6120.84)

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of the catering provision with our school.

  • To participate in the production of food items in line with school requirements.

  • To participate in the care and the cleaning of the kitchen areas, dining room and equipment as required.

  • To serve meals to and talk to pupils and staff and visitors as appropriate.

  • To assist with the maintenance of quality standards and menu planning within the catering department.

  • To adhere to safe usage/management of all catering equipment.

  • To wash all equipment, both kitchen and service equipment.

  • To participate in the completion of all necessary records as required.

  • To cooperate with the Catering Manager with regard to compliance with all food safety legislation relating to the catering industry, with all Health and Safety legislation and with the rules, regulations etc.

  • To wear appropriate clothing, safety shoes and uniform will be provided.

  • In addition, any other reasonable duties as required.
