Scientists at work
A class full of future designers, builders and architects?
After hearing the sad news that one of our local bridges had been destroyed in a recent storm, Moon Class quickly set to work on designing a replacement! We began by looking at images of different bridges, thinking about the shapes and materials used. We then designed bridges of our own and made models of these, choosing from a range of everyday materials such as wood, cardboard and paper. We then tested the strength and suitability of our chosen materials with the use of weights and a hairdryer!
